Like many residents of our area, Chris and her husband Rob, moved to Pensacola after many years of vacationing and visiting friends here. Chris attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City and graduated from Boston University’s College of Communication in 1990. She went on to become the Associate Director of Aurora & Quanta Productions, a small internationally recognized photography agency known for representing a group of National Geographic Magazine photographers.
She was a teacher of architectural design and fine art at Hebron Academy for six years, while also working as a freelance artist. Her award-winning artwork can be found in national juried shows, private exhibits, and collections nationwide. Her vast understanding and experience with architectural design, construction, management, and customer service, are tremendous benefits to the home buyers and sellers she works with.
Chris specializes as a real estate professional in the East Hill and North Hill neighborhoods she feels so passionately about. She has a deep appreciation for the history, architecture, and individuals who make this area their home. She has pride in Pensacola and its historic neighborhoods and understands why others do too.
"Chris Reid helped us during our recent home search and we found her to be absolutely wonderful! She brought a wealth of knowledge to our home hunt by drawing on her background in architecture, art, and local history. She was always easy to reach and quick to respond to our questions and concerns. Most importantly, Chris really listened and was always eager and excited to show us new properties. She also suggested properties that were within the styles and search parameters that we were interested in. This saved us an incredible amount of time during our home search process. Chris had (or found) answers to our questions, she offered great market insight, and she walked us step-by-step through the house buying process. We would recommend Chris to anyone searching for a home in the Pensacola area."
"Chris thoroughly and realistically evaluated both the strengths and weaknesses of my 110-year-old newly renovated house. She made reasonable suggestions to enhance the property and helped me implement them by contacting appropriate tradesmen and by overseeing the repairs/improvements when I could not. She made multiple suggestions regarding the wording of a sales contract which resulted in tremendous savings. She worked diligently to showcase the house on all available media. Most importantly she listened and heard my comments, suggestions, and concerns. The process of selling this much-loved home was as easy as possible because of her. Many thanks, Chris!!"
"Chris Reid is the most pleasurable, competent, and professional realtor I have ever dealt with. On the first day we met, she had already done plenty of homework. She showed me the recent sales for comparable homes in the area and made many prudent comments about the older home. She listened intently as I explained my ideas and thoughts. After thoroughly understanding them, Chris offered several suggestions and a variety of approaches I could take. After that was decided, she explained exactly what she would be doing to sell the house. It was priced reasonably and I received an offer in just a few weeks due to the exposure she gave to it. Several problems arose after the home inspection. So, with Chris' help, we were able to correct/fix those problems in short order. Chris was always on top of everything! The bottom line was a very successful sale. I highly recommend Chris Reid as a realtor whether you are selling or buying a house. Chris is a delightful person and the best realtor that I know."
